Services We Provide

Mental Health Services

Mental health services are essential for homeless youth because they provide emotional stability, trauma support, and coping skills during one of the most vulnerable periods of their lives. Without these services, young people face increased risks that make it harder to secure housing, maintain employment, or build a healthy, independent future.

  • Prevents emotional overwhelm by giving youth tools to manage trauma, stress, and anxiety before they escalate.
  • Reduces risky behaviors by helping youth build healthier coping strategies and stronger decision‑making skills.
  • Prevents long‑term instability by supporting youth in maintaining employment, education, and housing through consistent emotional and therapeutic support.
A simple, well-kept bedroom corner featuring a neatly made twin bed with a solid navy comforter and crisp white sheets, a compact wooden nightstand, and a single small framed print of an abstract sunrise in warm colors hanging on a neutral wall. On the nightstand rest a digital alarm clock, a library book, and a basic lamp with a soft fabric shade casting a warm, comforting glow. The rest of the room is lit by low, ambient evening light, creating gentle contrast and soft, elongated shadows. Captured at eye level in photographic realism, the composition uses the rule of thirds, with the bed leading the eye to the artwork. The mood is safe, grounded, and quietly optimistic, evoking supportive housing and a stable place for young adults to rest and reset.

Emergency Housing Supports

Emergency housing is critical for homeless youth because it provides immediate safety, stability, and protection during one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Without it, young people face dangerous risks, making it harder for them to focus on healing, education, employment, or building a stable future.

Research shows that early intervention dramatically reduces:

  • Chronic homelessness
  • Justice system involvement
  • Hospitalizations
  • Long‑term reliance on public systems

Beside one workstation sits a closed spiral notebook labeled “Career Goals” and a printed checklist with headings like “Resume,” “Interview Practice,” and “Applications.” The background shows blurred shelves holding reference books and a bulletin board filled with organized, color-coded job and training flyers, all out of focus. Bright but soft overhead lighting provides even illumination without harsh glare, enhancing the professional atmosphere. Shot from a slightly low, three-quarter angle in crisp photographic realism, the closest workstation is in sharp focus while the others recede into a subtle blur, conveying access to education, job preparation, and structured opportunity for young adults planning their next step.
Educational and Job Support Scholarships

Employment Support Services

Employment supports are essential because they give homeless youth the skills, confidence, and stability needed to build a secure and independent future.
Long‑Term Benefits of Youth Employment

  • Creates financial stability that helps youth maintain housing, meet basic needs, and avoid returning to homelessness.
  • Builds confidence and purpose through consistent work, skill‑building, and positive adult connections.
  • Opens long‑term career pathways that lead to higher earning potential, stability, and self‑sufficiency over time.

Scholarships are essential because they remove financial barriers and give our youth the opportunity to pursue college, training programs, or military advancement with confidence and stability. Education & Training Scholarships to help youth pay for college tuition, trade programs, certification courses, and essential school supplies. to cover job‑readiness needs such as uniforms, tools, technology, transportation, and professional development opportunities. Military Advancement Scholarships to support young adults entering the military with required materials, travel costs, and transition resources. New Home Scholarship provides essential housing supplies to youth transitioning out of foster care or homelessness, ensuring they can move into safe, stable housing with dignity and comfort.

Alicia Tillery, Founder & CEO

Love Taps Crew, Inc. was born from a simple truth I’ve carried my whole life: helping people is my purpose. There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing my gifts are being used to make sure no young person feels alone at the very moment they need support the most.

The spark came from a moment I’ll never forget. I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw a video of a young man standing at attention during his military graduation. One by one, families stepped forward to tap their loved ones on the shoulder—a symbolic release into the next chapter of their lives. But this young man stood there… waiting… and no one came. The video ended before I could see what happened, but my heart didn’t. I sat there thinking, Never again.

In that moment, the name Love Taps came to me, and everything clicked. I thought about the thousands of foster teens who age out of the system every year—many entering the military, college, or the workforce with no family to cheer for them, guide them, or show up on the days that matter. I remembered how supported I felt when my grandmother helped me move into my college dorm. That sense of belonging stayed with me, and I knew every young person deserves that same feeling.

Love Taps Crew, Inc. was created to be that steady presence.
To be the tap on the shoulder.
To be the family that shows up.

Today, we provide wraparound services for teens aging out of foster care and at‑risk youth ages 18–25+. Our approach is holistic and deeply personal—we support the whole person through housing stability, mental wellness, job placement, educational pathways, and emotional support that doesn’t disappear when life gets hard. Our youth aren’t just participants; they’re family. They know they can reach back to us at any moment, and we will be there.

Investing in Love Taps Crew means investing in a future where no young adult steps into adulthood alone. It means preventing homelessness before it starts, strengthening mental health, and creating pathways to stable careers and independent living. Most importantly, it means giving every young person the dignity of knowing someone is in their corner—cheering, guiding, and celebrating them every step of the way.
